Junior and Karlson is a Soviet cult cartoon based on the Swedish story by writer, Astrid Lingren (of Pippi Longstocking fame). In this cartoon, a young boy, Junior, feels lonely and desperately wants a dog. And so, Junior invents an imaginary friend, Karlson. Karlson is a mischievous character who lives on Junior’s roof and is able to fly. Together they enjoy entertaining escapades which often get Junior into trouble.
